BANNER: Endemol India
PRODUCER: Deepak Dhar, Sameer Gogate, Sameer Rajendran
DIRECTOR: Rajesh Pillai
CAST: Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Shergill, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Sachin Khedekar, Vishal Singh, Divya Dutta, etc.
STORY: The story of the film is based on a true incident. The film shows how a person's heart is transported from one city to another by road in just 150 minutes, so that it can be transplanted into a dying little girl. It is Rajesh Pillai's Hindi remake of his 2011 Malayalam smash hit of the same title.
CRITICAL ANALYSIS: Traffic tells a touching story which keeps the audience on the edge. Its screenplay is as sharp as scissors and it is entirely a content driven film. The film features Manoj Bajpayee as a traffic police constable, Jimmy Shergill as Mumbai police commissioner, Prosenjit Chatterjee as a superstar, Parambrata Chatterjee as a surgeon and Sachin Khedekar and Divya Dutta, among others. Though all the actors have played their part honestly, it is Manoj Bajpayee’s terrific performance that steals the show. He is near-perfect.
TRADE ANALYSIS: The film opened to positive reviews on Friday and several Bollywood celebs praised the flick on social media after watching it at special screening. The film may perform well in multiplexes than theaters.
At the box office, the film may do well with city audience.
